Eagle Peak Leadership is a place to talk, learn and network about business performance, leadership, spiritual disciplines, and the integration of faith and work.
It all starts with the basics. As Christians we need to continue to learn about our faith and more importantly God’s Word and this in turn will help with our behaviors, both on and off the job. Dallas Willard in his latest book states “Not having knowledge of the central truths of Christianity is certainly one reason for the great disparity between what Christians profess and how they behave – a well-known and disturbing phenomenon.” It is our continual efforts in exercising the spiritual disciplines that will truly change who we are, both internally and externally. These disciplines must be exercised during our normal day-to-day lives. We must not wait until some special moment or service or when the time is right. Richard Foster states “The discovery of God lies in the daily and the ordinary, not in the spectacular and the heroic. If we cannot find God in the routines of home and shop, then we will not find him at all.” I truly believe this statement. God is the God of everyday, not just Sundays or your specific day of worship.
